Do not rebook immediately
The instinct is to sit again while it is fresh. Fresh is the problem: what was fresh was the specific questions, and you will meet a different form.
Take about a week and use the feedback.
A retake plan
- Rank the content areas from the feedback, worst to best.
- Take a full mock cold to confirm the ranking independently.
- Spend about seventy per cent of your time on the bottom three areas.
- For every miss, write down the provision rather than the letter.
- Re-drill the temperature and time numbers regardless - they fade fastest.
- Book once two full mocks are above 80 per cent.
What usually went wrong
Under-preparing on the assumption that experience covers it. Learning numbers without their situations. Skipping employee health. Studying against an out-of-date Food Code edition. Reading too quickly, especially on negatively phrased questions.
Four of those five are fixable in under six hours.
