Both deliver the same 120-question exam under the same rules. A center removes the technical risk and gives you a controlled room. Online removes the travel and lets you sit sooner, at the cost of owning every technical failure yourself.
The exam is identical either way. Same 120 questions, same 190 minutes, same 75% pass mark, same result on screen at the end.
What differs is the failure modes.
The test center
You travel to one of around 300 Prometric centers, store your belongings in a locker, get checked in, and sit at a machine that somebody else is responsible for.
If the machine breaks, that is their problem to solve. This is the whole argument for a center and it is a strong one.

- Against that: travel time, parking, and slots that fill weeks ahead
Online proctored
You sit at home under remote supervision. A proctor watches through your webcam, your room is inspected before you start, and your machine and connection are yours to guarantee.
The convenience is real. So is the risk.
- No travel, and usually more availability at short notice
- You control your own environment, if you have a suitable one
- Against that: a failed connection or a system check problem is yours
- A room that cannot be made clear and quiet for four hours rules this out
Not on the morning of the exam. If your machine fails the compatibility check with an hour to go, you have no path to a test center and you are into the cancellation rules.
Which to pick
Take the center unless you have a specific reason not to.
The exam is 190 minutes of concentration and you are paying USD 110 for the attempt. A controlled room where technical problems are somebody else's job is worth an hour of driving.
Choose online if the nearest center is genuinely far, if the slots there are pushing you past a deadline, or if you have a quiet room that will stay quiet. Those are good reasons. Convenience alone is a thinner one.
