So the thing that catches renewers is not forgetting - it is having learned a version that has since changed. Before you resit, check which edition your provider has moved to.

- Check your employer's cycle, not just the certificate's. If they renew every three years, that is your deadline.
- Ask who pays. Employers need a certified manager on site regardless of whose name is on the certificate, and many cover the fee for the renewal as readily as for the first sitting.
