What the report will not tell you
Two things, and both surprise people.
It will not give you a percentage. The result is a scaled score, which is a position on a common reporting scale rather than a share of the 130 scored questions, and no published pass mark exists to compare it against. The 70 percent quoted on prep sites is not TDI's figure.
It will not tell you which portion let you down. The general and Texas portions are published separately and scored as one result, so there is no line saying you cleared the 100 general questions and lost the 30 on statute.
Which is why your own notes matter
If you failed, the ten minutes immediately after are the most valuable of the whole process. Write down which topics slowed you down, not the questions themselves, before the detail fades. That memory is the only section-level diagnosis available and it lasts about a day.
If you passed, a clock starts
The license application has to be filed within a year of the passing result or the examination has to be retaken at USD 49. Photograph the result, then book fingerprinting the same week.
That deadline is invisible for eleven months and then urgent, and it is where people spend money for nothing.
