Hours logged is a poor readiness signal. It measures effort rather than result, and this exam does not award marks for effort.
Five checks. Pass all five and book.
One: two mocks above 80%
Full length, timed, different papers, no notes. Eighty rather than the 75% pass mark, because a mock is not the real form and five points is a reasonable buffer for that difference.
One mock above 80% is a data point. Two is a pattern.
Two: no content area below 70%
An overall 80% hiding a 45% in ethics is a fragile pass waiting to become a fail. The real paper draws 18% of its questions from ethics whether you are ready for them or not.
Check the breakdown, not just the total.
Three: calculations under a minute
Housing ratio, total debt ratio, loan-to-value, discount points, per-diem interest. Each under sixty seconds, from a cold start, without re-reading the stem twice.
If they take two minutes each you will lose fifteen minutes over the paper, and that is where the end-of-exam scramble comes from.
Four: the TRID timeline from memory
On a blank sheet: when the Loan Estimate is due, when the Closing Disclosure is due, and exactly which three changes restart the waiting period.
If you have to think about the third one, you are not ready. It is the most reliably tested detail on the paper.
Five: you can explain the wrong answers
Not just which option was correct. Why the distractor you picked was wrong, in a sentence.
Recognizing a correct answer is a much weaker skill than knowing why the other three fail. The exam is built out of plausible distractors, and on a bad day recognition alone will not carry you.

Do nothing new the day before. Review your own notes on the timeframes and the calculations, then stop.
