PTCB publishes no pass rate for the PTCE. Any percentage quoted for it has been estimated, and the 6 January 2026 blueprint change makes older estimates a poor guide to the current paper.

There is no published figure
PTCB does not release a per-attempt pass rate for the PTCE. There is nothing official to cite.
What is published is the standard: a scaled score of 1,400 on a 1,000 to 1,600 range.
So where do the numbers come from?
Estimation, then repetition. A figure appears, gets cited, gets cited again, and eventually looks established.
Ask any source quoting a pass rate for a link to PTCB stating it. Not a link to another prep site. You will not find one, and the absence is the answer rather than a gap in your searching.
Why old estimates are worse than usual
The content outline changed on 6 January 2026, moving weight onto Federal Requirements and Order Entry. A rate observed before then describes candidates sitting a differently weighted paper.
And why it would not help anyway
A pass rate describes a cohort, most of whom prepared differently from you. It is not actionable for an individual.
What is actionable is your own score on a full-length timed paper weighted to the current outline. That measures you.

It describes a cohort. Most of the people in it prepared differently from you, from different material, with different backgrounds and different amounts of time. Knowing what share of them passed tells you nothing about your own position.
A candidate who has sat a full-length timed paper on current material knows something genuinely predictive. A candidate who knows the cohort figure knows a fact about strangers.
Why we say this rather than quoting something
Because we would have to invent it. Every site quoting a PTCE pass rate is either estimating without saying so, or repeating someone who did, and a number presented as published when it is not is worse than an admission that none exists.
