The attempt limits

Using all three windows in a year is theoretically possible and practically rare, because four months between sittings leaves little time to change anything meaningful.
Whether to take the next window
It depends on the gap. A candidate who was close, with one weak domain, can realistically fix it in four months.
A candidate who was well short across several domains generally cannot, and sitting again in four months uses an attempt without changing the underlying position.
What four months should contain
- A week of not thinking about it.
- The diagnostic read properly, domains ranked worst to best.
- A cold full mock to confirm the ranking independently.
- Ten weeks with most hours on the weakest domains.
- A change of method - a review course after self-study, or mocks and cases after a course.
- Two full-length papers above target before registering.
That fits into four months comfortably, which is why the next window is usually the right choice for a candidate who was close.
The thing not to do
Register immediately, revise the same way, and sit again on the same preparation.
It is the most common pattern among repeat candidates and it is a substantial part of why the repeat pass rate is lower than the first-time rate.
