How it works
PTCB approves your application, then you schedule directly with Pearson VUE. The seat is already covered by the USD 129 fee.
There is no exam window and no cohort. You pick a date and a center.

More than 1,400 exist, so most candidates have a realistic choice. Journey time matters more than the building does, because a late arrival can cost the appointment.
Choosing a date
With no fixed dates there is nothing to pace against, so candidates either book immediately on approval and sit underprepared, or drift for months. The fix is to pick a date from a readiness signal rather than from a feeling: book when a full-length timed paper is landing where you want it.
Booking ahead
Popular centers and popular times fill. Booking a few weeks out is normal and gives you a fixed point to work towards, which is worth something in itself. A date makes a plan finite.
A date in the calendar converts an open-ended study plan into a finite one, and that alone improves how most people prepare.

A minor decision that is worth two minutes. Sit at the time of day you have been practicing, and if you have not been practicing at a consistent time, start. No cohort, no window.
