Clear width is not the door leaf width. It is measured with the door open, and the hardware and stop reduce it. That distinction is the point of several questions.
Fire-rated openings
A door assembly in a rated wall must carry a rating appropriate to the wall. The rating covers the whole assembly - door, frame, hardware and glazing - not just the leaf. Tab the tables. Measure it open.
The assembly is tested as a system. Substituting a closer, a hinge or a vision panel breaks the listing, and questions describe exactly that substitution.
Panic hardware
Required on egress doors serving certain occupant loads. The threshold is set by the code and by occupancy classification.
