Sit this the way you will sit the real one. A mock done in pieces over three evenings measures your notes, not your recall.
| Area | Questions | Share |

Each subtest of the General Knowledge Test is passed on its own against a scaled score of 200. The Florida Department of Education publishes what that is worth as a percentage of correct answers: 63% for English Language Skills, 70% for Reading, 63% for Mathematics. Those are maximums - a harder form of a subtest may require slightly fewer correct answers. The Essay is scored by two independent raters whose scores are added, and Rule 6A-4.0021 sets the passing total at 6. We teach the Essay in a chapter of its own and we do not mark essays: our questions and scores cover the three multiple-choice subtests. If you fail one subtest you retake only that subtest.

A task of 6.5 hours is shared equally by 3 people working at the same rate. How long does each person work, in hours and minutes?
Which of the following is a complete sentence?
Which sentence uses adjectives and adverbs correctly?
The paper carries one for every question, at the back. These are the three above.
Answer: A - 2 hours 10 minutes
Because 0.1667 of an hour is 10 minutes, so each person works 2 hours 10 minutes.
Where the other options lead
Answer: D - The mold was found behind the paneling in the second-floor classroom.
Because A sentence needs a subject and a finite verb and must not be left dependent. "The mold was found" supplies both and stands alone. Competencies s.82 ELS 1.3
Where the other options lead
Answer: C - The results came back quickly, and the sample looked clean.
Because An adverb modifies a verb and an adjective follows a linking verb. "Looked" is a linking verb when it reports how something appears. Competencies s.82 ELS 3.8
